members are organisations and individual scientists, technicians and
managers working in universities, research institutes and
enterprises of chemical industry. The Chemical Society of Vietnam
has 11 specialised branches operating nationwide, 10 centres and
research institutes.

Main activities of CSV
1. Science & Technology activities
- To support its members
carrying out scientific research, R&D and technology transfer
projects in chemical industry.
- To organize international,
national and interdiscipline workshops.
- To popularize chemical knowledge.
2. Education and training activities
- To carry out the activities
to upgrade chemical teaching and learning quality in high schools
and universities.
- Take part in compiling and
evaluating the quality of the chemical teaching program and
textbooks.
3. Consultance- Opponency-
Evaluation activities
- To take consultance,
opponency, evaluation for large-scale investment projects,
governmental legislative documents involving in chemistry.
- To take part in forming
strategies, policies and plans for chemical industry development .
4. International co-operation
activities
- To support members of CSV and
foreign partners in scientific and business co-operation.
- CSV is a member of the
Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS), the International
Union of Pure and Application Chemistry (IUPAC) and has the
relationship with many national chemical societies.
The submitted proposal for
co-operation between the Chemical Society of Vietnam and the Korean
Society of Industry and Engineering Chemistry:

Scientific research co-operation, information exchange and
technology transfer in chemical and environmental field.

Training, study tours, specialist exchange

Supporting Vietnamese and Korean partners in investment and
business.

Organization of workshop, meetings between Vietnamese and
Korean scientists, businessmen and managers in chemical and
environmental industry.
